Ashley Mae McPhail
Ashley Mae McPhail was born and raised in rural Salemburg, North Carolina. Ashley grew up on her father’s farm along with her younger brother, Daniel. Ashley’s favorite childhood memory was bottle feeding her pet cow “Lucky” and searching for arrowheads with her German Shepherd “Bear.” Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts in American History from Arizona State University. Although Ashley has always been passionate about history, she decided to go to law school when a professor suggested that her compassion to help those in need would be a good fit for the practice of law.
Ashley attended the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida to live in closer proximity to her mother, who lives in Riverview, Florida. While attending law school, Ashley took several courses in taxation and served as an Executive Research Editor for the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy. After graduating from law school in May 2015, Ashley decided to pursue an LL.M. in Taxation with Boston University, School of Law to maintain variety in her secondary education.
Ashley enjoys spending her free time visiting historical sites across the United States, riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, and collecting comic books. Ashley joined Clark, Campbell, Lancaster, and Munson to further her career in taxation and to become a part of Lakeland, a community which reminds her of home, with her German Shepherd puppy, “Spock.”
